Festival Atobius 2026: The Full Programme Is Here!

The Festival Atobius – Incontri di Culture 2026 programme is now available!

From 12 to 18 October, a week of events invites you to discover the local area through food, traditional skills, cultural visits and hands-on activities.

Following our previews over the past few weeks, we can now share the posters featuring the activities, venues and times. The programme brings together experiences in Dolianova, Soleminis, Serdiana and Cagliari, offering opportunities to meet producers, craftspeople and people involved in local cultural life.

A Week of Experiences, Flavours and Traditions

The festival opens on Monday 12 October with olive picking and a traditional olive preparation, followed by a walk among ancient olive trees. These two experiences offer an introduction to Parteolla’s rural landscape and agricultural traditions.

Tuesday 13 October will focus on Sardinian wines and aromas, with a tasting in Soleminis, followed by traditional dancing in Dolianova. On Wednesday 14 October, the programme continues with local shops and craftspeople, a winery visit and tasting, a fresh pasta workshop and an evening of traditional singing.

On Thursday 15 October, participants can visit Dolianova’s weekly market, explore the Bonaria Monumental Cemetery in Cagliari and enjoy an evening of traditional dancing. Friday 16 October offers the chance to become a “cheesemaker for a day” and learn more about extra virgin olive oil through a guided tasting.

The weekend brings hands-on workshops on Saturday, alongside visits to San Pantaleo Cathedral on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October.

Saturday 17 October: An Afternoon of Workshops in Dolianova

On Saturday 17 October, from 4 to 6 pm, at Ollu e Stentu B&B, Via Cagliari 71, Dolianova, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of traditional crafts and food preparations.

The workshop programme includes:

Pottery

Cooking, featuring gateaux and malloreddus

Loom weaving

Pallineddas

Dyeing wool with plants

Each workshop has two sessions, with times varying according to the activity. The dedicated Saturday poster provides the details you need to choose your experience and book a session.

It will be an afternoon for watching, asking questions and trying techniques yourself, guided by people who practise these skills and share their knowledge.
